Bullying Help Blog

A commonly overlooked issue is the bullying and harassment faced by those with disabilities, physical and/or mental. While there are many support groups springing up for them, there is still a stigma. Even people who mean well end up simply talking down to these intelligent people, who simply express themselves in different ways than most of the population. In my experience, these people just want to be treated fairly. Not necessarily like everyone else, because whether it’s admitted or not; they do have special needs. But then again, who doesn’t have needs? Theirs may just be different kinds of needs. No one wants to be talked down to, but most people are once or twice or a thousand times. People don’t necessarily want to be treated exactly the same, they want to feel accommodated, but not LIED to. They want to be treated with respect and fairness. So the best…
